well well. It did not go as I expected it to. I suppose the weather is partially to blame, but every team there had to deal with it. In some ways it helped us...our receivers are pretty scrappy and were able to come up with many discs from wind/rain effected throws. I think we were able to end on a good note. After a rough start (to say the least)...a 0-15 routing from 'Riot' - Yikes! And that was in decent weather - I don't even know what happened, and I was playing. But I heard there were unforced errors from at least 2 of the 3 Bay Area teams. Several 'Fury' players mentioned similar things about their morning game -vs- ZeitGeist. The former gold medal winners of team 'USA' were able to come out the victor in their pool play game while Slackjaw couldn't seem to hold on to the disc long enough to score even a single point against the hometown opponent they faced.
Of my own performance last weekend, all I can say is I'll only be partially haunte by missed opportunities, and poor execution, and only minorly plagued by injuries. And...it is not nearly so bad a way to end the season as I ended my PQ career, haunted by the UC Berkeley Quarterfinals curse in 'Natties '07.
I look forward to continuing to play in the off-season, and gearing up for another go, and another Bay Area club season.
